The Tide is Turning at Dunato’s

After 48 years of business on Lake Union and over 60 years in the industry, John Dunato has decided to close the Dunato’s Boatyard on August 30, 2018.   John plans to continue his Towing and Salvage business and divide his time between Seattle and his homeland Croatia.   He is excited about this next chapter of his life and looks forward to seeing you on the Seattle waterfront.

We want to thank our past and present customers, vendors, employees, contractors and the marine industry for all of their incredible support and assistance over the last 48 years.  It has been a great pleasure working with all of you and we wish you success in whatever you do!

Our team of talented employees are reviewing their options and most have found employment within the marine industry.  Ryan Hansen, our foreman, has decided to start up his own mobile marine service.  Please contact Ryan Hansen at 206.730.7230 to schedule any mobile service or consulting work you might need.

John Dunato will continue his Towing and Salvage business and can be reached at 206.730.7227.

Dunato’s will continue to offer moorage for boats up to 125’.  We currently have a 60’ slip vacancy.  Please contact Patti (patti@dunato.com) for more information.

Many of you might remember our Second Wave Marine Consignment store in Fremont.  Well the tide has come in and we’re excited about the new Second Wave located at 3720 Harborview Drive on Gig Harbor’s beautiful waterfront.  Please contact Gary Ford at 253.509.0798 with any questions. (secondwaveattheboatyard.com).

If any of our past or present customers need assistance or referrals, please contact Patti Segulja-Lau at 206.547.7852.  We are happy to help you with any questions about the transition.

With sincere thanks and appreciation.
